If you read through this journal entry you will find a surprise at the end of the page. My chance to share a bit of myself with you from a creative perspective. If you have no desire to read the entry you may skip it and simply go to the end, but why not accept my offer to be enlightened by the spirit of the season.

It's that time of year when we begin to look back over the past year and sum up our growth and accomplishments. We might glance over that "to do" list or attempt to rationalize why we did, or did not, reach that one major goal at the top of the list. Me. I always try to find the good in things no matter how the year turned out.
In general this time of year brings with it a mixture of pain and joy. I've loved and lost at love in this time of the year. I lost a loved one in life, in this time of the year. I moved out of the home where my two children still live, in this time of the year. And yes... it still pains me ten years later.

On the up side. Both of my children were born in the fall. I LOVE being the mom and I welcome the changes I see in them, as they grow into the wonderful men they are becoming. I LOVE to see the leaves change in color and to watch them, as they dance while falling from the trees. I enjoy sipping a cup of coffee, tea, or hot chocolate during this time of year. For some reason a nice hot drink seems somewhat comforting when it's a bit brisk outdoors.
I'm like one of Santa's elves when it come to the holidays. I enjoy watching my loved ones opening the gifts I've purchased or created from hand. I make it a point to donate to those less fortunate. Clothing, canned goods, and toys. I grew up knowing what it was like to have much less than I do these days and it's certain there are many out there suffering the same still.

My wish this year... to us all... be grateful for those things which really matter. Health. Love. Family. Creative talent. A roof over your head and food on the table. The laughter of those we care for. A warm hug.

In closing, all the VERY BEST this holiday season.

Now to the goodies: I would to make an offer of a trade with THREE people on this site who are all artist in their own right.

You can be a jewelry artist, like myself. A painter. Sketch artist. Into graphics. Photography. Pottery. Anything which can be made with our hands and our creative minds. I'm not looking to make this a competition, simply a way to share my gift of creativity with three other souls out there in this world. Perhaps along the way we might make a friend in art.

The items I'm offering up are the THREE LOVES beaded bracelets from my Valentine's Day creations. You will find the images in my 2009 gallery file. "Passionate" will fit a 6.5 inch wrist. Infatuation, a 7.5 inch wrist. And "Innocence" a 6 inch wrist.
The cost to us all will be in sending these items to one another. A small price to pay to share the love from our gift of creative process.

It matter not to me if this gift is for yourself, a loved one, or a perfect stranger... just in the giving. So if you know me, or not, send me a note and let me know which bracelet you would like and why. A little about yourself and what you offer in trade. I will make my selections no later that the middle of December, so I am able to ship the bracelets out before the Xmas rush.

If you know someone who might find this appealing, please **pass it on**.

Blessed Be. Namaste. All The Best. Warm Hugs.

"The art of living... is neither careless drifting on the one hand nor fearful clinging to the past with the other. It consists in being sensitive to each moment, in regarding it as utterly new and unique, in having the mind open and wholly receptive."

I was born with the desire to create and cannot recall in the years past when I was not making art in some way or another. While my choice of medium tends to change along with my interests, for the moment I am venting my desires through the creation of limited edition jewelry.

I have some formal training in pottery, drawing and painting, and textile work... though I would have to argue that most of what I know and practice today is self taught. I would consider myself moderate in talent when it comes to fine art and I am thankful for the basics which it taught me regarding it's history, equation and balance, texture and color theory. I house a small collection of books on art, technique, nature, and photography which seem to provide an endless source of inspiration for me when ever there is a need to be inspired. Note the themes in some of my collections...

I pride myself on trying to remain open to new ideas, materials, and techniques when it comes to my art works and crafting and while I have the use of my eyes, my hands, and my mind... will forever be creating something new.

Hiii! Alex's friend Sarah here, just saying hello. I LOVE all your jewelry and all the colors in it. I've played with making jewelry a bit but it's definitely not my medium. I still like making fimo beads and making simple beaded earrings though! It was great to meet you at Alex and Erin's show. :)
